RESEARCH PAPER: TOPIC OF CHOICE ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS OVERVIEW You will write a minimum 1,000-word paper (not including title or bibliography pages) on ONE of the topics listed below. This paper must be completed in current APA format and include 2 sources in addition to the course text (minimum 3 sources). Please see the grading rubric for specific grading policies and procedures. INSTRUCTIONS Please write on ONE of the following topics: • Discuss afterburner theory and operations • Describe the development and advantages of the geared turbofan engine • Compare and contrast Pratt & Whitney’s geared turbofan engine to GE’s LEAP engine • Describe the development, usage, and advantages of the PT6 engine • Discuss the development of electronics for turbine engines (EEC, etc.) The paper must adhere to current APA formatting and include a title page and reference page (none of which are included in the page/ word count). A minimum of 3 total sources must be used. Do not use Wiki sites. The goal is to maximize using academic, scholarly resources. After submission, professor will provide valuable feedback.
