Annotated Bibliography

This assignment is one of several activities throughout the Ph.D. program designed to support preparation for the dissertation process. Topic: Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Customer Attraction A key competency required for success in a doctoral program is the ability to: Identify existing research related to your own research interests. Locate and evaluate relevant scholarly literature. Read, analyze, and synthesize previous research. Incorporate prior academic work into your own research. An annotated bibliography is intended to help develop and strengthen these essential research skills. Assignment Requirements Prepare an annotated bibliography that follows proper academic standards. The paper must: Follow correct APA formatting. Use correct grammar and academic writing style. Include a minimum of five (5) scholarly resources. Source Requirements All selected resources must meet the following criteria: 1. Current Sources Resources must: Be published within the last few years. Reflect current research and developments in the field. 2. Peer-Reviewed Sources All resources must: Be peer-reviewed. Have undergone a formal academic review process before publication. Be published in peer-reviewed journals or presented through peer-reviewed academic conferences. Do not assume that a source is peer-reviewed. Verify the review process by checking: The journal’s website. The conference’s official information. Other reliable academic sources. 3. Topic Relevance Each source must directly relate to: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in the context of: Developing an ERM program. Assessing an ERM program. Implementing an ERM program. Annotation Requirements An annotation is different from an abstract. Abstracts: Are primarily descriptive. Summarize what the article discusses. Annotations: Must be evaluative and critical. Should demonstrate your understanding and assessment of the research. Each annotation should: Provide enough information for the reader to determine whether the article is valuable and worth reading. Explain your evaluation of the article. Discuss the relevance and contribution of the research. Demonstrate your ability to identify, categorize, and synthesize scholarly research. Annotation Guidelines When writing each annotation: Do not provide only a brief summary. Do not make the annotation unnecessarily long. Focus on quality rather than quantity. Provide critical insight into the value, strengths, limitations, and relevance of each source. Research Quality Expectations The selected resources must demonstrate: Scholarly credibility. Direct relevance to enterprise risk management. Current knowledge of ERM practices, theories, and applications. Evidence of rigorous academic review.
