Do not scan the assigned reading and think that you know what you will need to write this paper. Consult your course syllabus details about case study reports. Read and write your article on, *Boldly Go: Character Drives Leadership at Providence Healthcare. *You must be able to read a report and perceive it through a different lens. For this week’s submission, focus your comments ONLY on the communication aspects of this case. You* have three page*s to devote to the communication issues facing Providence *at the conclusion* of the case study, possible solutions, recommended solution (be specific), and expected outcomes. A short submission requires clarity, conciseness, and focus. This is an assignment that focuses solely on the communication aspects of your reading assignment. *As stated in your course syllabus, your case analysis report should use APA page format (e.g. one-inch margins, 12-point type, and Times New Roman font). Please include double spacing between lines, a title page, and a page number at the bottom of each page. Indent your paragraphs and DO NOT use bullets, numbered, or outline formats. The report must be a minimum of two pages in length (content does not include title page or reference page) and should include: problems/issues facing the organization, possible solutions, a recommended solution, and expected outcomes. There must be a heading for each of the four required sections. Do not repeat the facts provided by the case study. Focus ALL of your writing and analysis attention on the communication aspects of this case in writing your report! Again, your essay is about identifying the issues at the end of the case study and offering a future perspective on the recommendations for improvements and the predicted outcomes of taking these actions.* - *Assignment #2: **Discussion Post 1page* *Inside-Out:* Use a search engine (Business Source Complete is provided in my DHA)( I attached two articles ) to explore the concepts of confirmation bias, cognitive dissonance, and critical thinking. Go beyond definitions and discuss the implications of these concepts on YOUR ability to communicate. The course syllabus refers to Intrapersonal Communication and how knowing oneself is the foundation for effective leadership. Note : Research methods Business Source Complete is a powerful search engine provided to the students of the DHA program and may be accessed through mydha.vul.edu. Supplementing your submissions with research is encouraged in all your writing assignments. It is imperative that graduate students be able to search academically-oriented literature, sift through useful (and not so useful) information, analyze, synthesize, and report the results of their research. In addition, all intellectual contributions cited in your DHA articles need to be properly attributed. The use of Wikipedia or other online encyclopedias for graduate-level papers is inappropriate. Aside from the uneven quality of the information that may be found in these sources, the real issue is that the information presented in these sources is an unacceptable shortcut for the graduate student. Similarly, you should be cautious in using information from newspaper and magazine articles. - *Assignment #3: **Discussion Post 300 words* *When you Just Cannot Meet Face-to-Face* Using your Week 1 readings *( Persuasion, as well as Everyday Writing: Memos, Letters, and Emails )* as source information, describe your boundaries and personal preferences on the "right time" to send a personal letter, an email message, or a memo. Share your rationale on each option when you cannot meet someone face-to-face.
