UNDERSTANDING. THIS HAS BECOME EVIDENT IN RECENT YEARS THROUGH GLOBAL TRADE
WARS AND DISAGREEMENTS ON HOW COUNTRIES ARE MANAGING COVID-19.
ASSUME YOU ARE AN HR BUSINESS CONSULTANT FOR A GLOBAL MEAT-PROCESSING
COMPANY. THE COMPANY HAS TWO PROCESSING PLANT LOCATIONS IN THE UNITED
STATES AND DISTRIBUTES ITS MEAT TO CHINA.
U.S. FACTORY OUTPUT HAS SLOWED DRAMATICALLY BECAUSE OF COVID-19 OUTBREAKS.
CHINA REPRESENTATIVES ARE UPSET WITH THE SUPPLY SHORTAGE. U.S.
REPRESENTATIVES ARE ANGRY BECAUSE COVID-19 ORIGINATED IN CHINA. MANAGEMENT
IS CONCERNED OVER THE BREAKDOWN IN THE GLOBAL RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE
COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO LEAD A TASKFORCE TO ALLEVIATE TENSION AND
TURN FOCUS BACK TO THE GLOBAL STRATEGIC PLAN, WHICH HAS A HEAVY EMPHASIS ON
PRODUCTION.

IN THIS SITUATION.

2. ETHICS AND DIVERSITY CASE STUDY
There has been a major push, within our globalized world, for individuals
to better understand one another. When interacting with others, it is
important to understand that a person’s beliefs, values, etc., cannot be
seen; thus, when making assumptions about others, problems often occur.
Unfortunately, in organizations-- despite the best efforts of HR and
organizational leadership--issues can arise.
Research an international company that is located in Asia or Africa and
that has successfully expanded and integrated cultural differences between
countries. Then do the following:
- Provide details about the company that you selected, specifically
focusing on the company’s history, purpose, vision, and mission.
- Provide details of goods and/or services the company provides and what
economic sector(s) the company falls into.
- Explain if and how the company’s mission and vision address diversity
and ethics. Note: If the mission and vision of the selected organization
does not address diversity and ethics, then propose what the organization
should add to these statements.
- Present at least three examples of how the organization’s current
practices foster inclusion across the company’s borders.
- Present at least one inclusion practice that could further improve
cross-border relationships.

pages).
- Your paper must be properly cited and formatted according to the APA7
- Include a formal reference page.
- While this is an individual paper, you should reflect on our
discussion forums and incorporate ideas from there, as appropriate.
