You are creating a Research Proposal for your topic, like the one in your book from p. 324-332. It will look like the one on page 330-332. Unlike the sample in the book, yours will only need to be two full pages, typed, 2.0 line-spacing. You can exceed the page limit if you need to. See the list of questions on p. 330 at the top. Copy those questions onto your paper (including numbers). Apply MLA format to the entire document, including your heading. Entitle it "Research Proposal." MS Word has an "MLA template" you can use that sets the margins at 1 inch top, bottom, right, and left of the page. It also sets the type size at 12 point and the font to "Times New Roman." If you can't find the template, then just set those parameters, yourself.
