Trust you guys are all good, I know we are all picking ourselves up after
two months of slow pace due to slow traffic of jobs. High season is slowly
kicking in and I wanted to bring to your attention some details which I
think are important in ensuring we minimize unnecessary revisions, some
which come very late at night and we are forced to abandon bidding to
revise them.
*Number one*, ensure all papers have references, even in instances where
the client has not requested for one, standard reference is a page should
have a minimum of one reference, two pages, have two and so forth.
*Number two,* in case there is no formal request of format in a papers
instructions, liaise with whoever is on-line for guidance on the issue,
every paper should have a format and a reference as well, unless the
client has stated otherwise.
*Number three*, give your papers titles which is going hand in hand with
content you have written, don't tittle a paper as 'Film Analysis, or
Discussion Paper'' if you are writing about a film, you need to tell us
about the exact thing you are doing on the film, like, 'A look at
Cinematographic Use in Titanic (1997), Titanic Review and its Role ......
Role of Lead Actor in Titanic.... you also can't call a paper 'discussion'
... what are you discussing?
*Number four,* all papers with a requirement of 3 pages or 800 words and
above should have a small abstract section, this is just a value addition
to our papers which goes a long way in retaining customers, remember the
number of words in the abstract do not count at the final word count,
*Finally*, ensure before you submit a paper, proof read it, make sure
everything the client has requested is covered, don't expect much from
myself and Brian in revising the paper because our duty on these side is to
concentrate on bidding and ensuring steady supply of papers, ensure you
have the plag report attached as well.
Lets also agree on quick turn-around of revisions.
Wyclef.
